Write for us
We welcome pitches that explore the continuing life of conversation with care and a clear point of view. A strong proposal has a specific subject, a useful angle and a reason it matters after the exchange itself has ended.
What to propose
We consider explanatory pieces, thoughtful comparisons, cultural or historical context, and practical reflections readers can try without relying on professional services or special equipment. Look for a distinct question within the broader subject: what people remember, how an exchange is revisited, or how a thought changes when it is written down.
Make the pitch specific
Send a working title, a short summary of the central idea, the intended reader and a brief note about why your approach is distinct. Explain the article's main takeaway and the examples you would use. Do not send a full draft unless it has been requested; avoid unsupported claims, borrowed material without attribution and promises that a particular technique will work for everyone.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Include enough detail to assess the idea, but do not include private details about other people or a conversation they would not expect to be shared. A proposal is not a commitment to publish.
